Brigitte
Hough, pianist and singer, performs regularly throughout the Central
California Coast as both soloist and collaborative artist. She received he
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music in June 2006 from UCSB where she
graduated summa cum laude and was selected Outstanding Graduating Senior
by the Department of Music.
Brigitte served as staff pianist at Allan Hancock
College for four years where she accompanied choral and vocal classes
under the direction of Jody Benecke and Judith Klinger. Active in the
community, she has been a soloist at the Unity Chapel of Light for over 10
years, accompanies the Lompoc Valley Master Chorale, and performs
regularly at the Cabernet Bistro in Solvang. Along with violinist Sharon
cooper and violist Mark Hatchard,
Brigitte is a founding member of the "Trio
Musaique," a new group dedicated to brining quality solo,
collaborative and chamber music to the area. In addition to performing,
Brigitte is dedicated to teaching and works with students of all ages at
the Lompoc School of Music as well as St. Andrew's Academy of music. She
has performed in master classes for concert pianist Robert Thies and Dr.
Kirill Gliadkovsky under the sponsorship of the Santa Maria Philharmonic
Society. She has studied piano with Professor Paul Berkowitz and Dr. Betty
Oberacker and currently studies voice with Peter Benecke.
